Can one be an author, teacher, and student at the same time, on the same subject?
It's how I feel. I am an author, teacher of Breath Coaching, and a continual student of the breath, too.
β
I've been studying the breath since 2017, aiming to learn from the best. You can read more about my inspiring n-ice teachers.
In 2021, I proudly became the author and teacher of my first 200-page book and educational program. Since the end of 2022, we have educated 360 students, equipping them with the skills of Breath Coaching.

Student of the breath
Today, in 2023, I still feel like a student of the breath and life itself. Every layer un-covers a new layer, leading me further (down the rabbit hole? ;-). For the first time, I love to learn, and I find joy in being a student. I've always been a generalist, knowing a bit about many things, and in a way, I'm still a generalist in the Breathwork scene. I understand various breathing methods, and I don't believe there's only one correct method. I consider myself a guide to help you find your unique path, your "n-ice way".
βBecause there's not just one way for everybody, but there's a way for every body.
Learning by teaching
My students are my teachers, and I learn so much from them. I hear about new challenges, health issues, and how people relate to their breath as both individuals and professionals. For me, the breath brings me back to myself. I know when I'm out of breath, and I'm aware when I hold my breath.
Second edition Book
I recently edited my book for the second edition. While reading it, I initially hesitated, fearing it wasn't good enough, but I still find it to be valuable content. The reviews from my students also give me confidence in this. Even if they hadn't, the process of writing was an inner journey that enriched me. I received great guidance from Britt Geraerdts in bringing my message to life on paper. A meticulous editor further refined it.
π 360 students educated in BreathCoaching skills π
In the past year, we've trained 360 new Breath Coaches through Laudius, led by Kim. Now, I feel ready to create more, from a place of ease and flow, although sometimes I get so absorbed in the process that I forget to take breaks. The student in me finds reward in diving into subjects and creating.
Never finished professional education in my younger years
I didn't finish my education when I was 16. I initially pursued business economics for two years but dropped out, feeling like a failure for many years. I worked hard to compensate, achieving success but not fulfillment. However, I eventually found my "n-ice" way, the path of embodied personal development, and it was the breath that brought me home.
Perhaps "Student of the Breath" will be the title of my next book or chapter.
